Why do people always do things that they will regret?

We agree that humans are created to have dominance over the animals and plants and everything that God gave us. Why is it that we don't seem to be very wise and competent ourselves? Is it something in our genetics that causes us to contradict ourselves all the time?

I love paradox but I dislike contradiction.

Why do we always do things that we know are wrong? We plunge into relationships that eats us away. We commit to a responsibility that is hard to fulfill. Isn't that just plain ridiculous?

Sometimes you don't know how much I want to laugh at myself.
